The Group Close Date is a critical setting that governs multiple system functions. It ensures that all reports generated contain the most complete data possible and defines the final deadline for survey participation and virtual sorting activities.

Key Details: #
- Required Field: A close date must be selected in order to save a group.
- Adjustments: Qualified Administrators (QAs) may extend the close date into the future but cannot set it to a date that has already passed.
- Effective Timing: The close date takes effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the selected date.
- Example: If the close date is set to August 31, all restricted actions will be disabled starting at 12:01 a.m. on September 1.
Actions Restriced After the Close Date: #
- Learners and QAs cannot add new Raters or Sorters.
- No additional surveys or virtual sorts may be submitted.
- The only available function is report generation.
Communication to Participants: #
- Learners, Raters, and Sorters will receive email reminders indicating the deadline (the close date) by which they must complete their survey or virtual sort.
- After the close date, if any participant clicks on the survey or sorting link, they will be redirected to a page displaying the message: “The survey period has closed.”
Important Note: #
Once the close date has passed, Qualified Administrators will no longer be able to modify it.
